Clear skies in Sarawak, 41 areas in peninsula with unhealthy air quality

Sarawak is experiencing improved air quality, with none of its monitoring stations recording unhealthy air pollutant index (API) readings this morning. All 41 locations across the peninsula reporting unhealthy air quality were affected by haze, according to the Bernama report.

Johan Setia in Selangor topped the list of areas with unhealthy API readings at 9 am, with several Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan locations also in the same category. Other areas with unhealthy air quality included Cheras, Kuala Lumpur; Nilai, Negeri Sembilan; Putrajaya; Shah Alam, Selangor; Seremban, Negeri Sembilan; Batu Muda, Kuala Lumpur; and Petaling Jaya and Klang, Selangor.

Ten locations in Sarawak, previously the most affected by the haze, are now in the moderate category. API readings for these areas ranged from 51 to 73. Kuching recorded an API reading of 73, while Sibu, IPD Serian, Samarahan, Bintulu, Kapit, Sri Aman, Miri, Mukah, and Samalaju also showed moderate air quality.

Four locations in Sarawak, including Limbang and Sarikei, as well as ILP Miri, are experiencing good air quality, with API readings of 43 and 46, respectively. Kota Kinabalu recorded an API reading of 43, indicating good air quality as well.
