Claude Cowork and chat are now one Claude

Claude, the AI assistant, is combining its Cowork and chat features into a single, more versatile tool. Users can now send Claude tasks of any size, whether it's a quick question or a complex report. Claude handles the work from start to finish, even after the user has closed their laptop. New capabilities include Claude Docs for document creation, Claude Slides for presentations, and Claude Design for visual work, all of which can be utilized within a single conversation.

Claude can pull in relevant data, draft documents and slides, and maintain context throughout the process. It can be customized to ask for user input or operate automatically, based on the user's preferences. The integration aims to streamline workflows by allowing users to start a task in one place and continue it seamlessly in another, without needing to switch tools or contexts.

The changes are being rolled out to Pro and Max plans first, with Enterprise administrators being notified about 30 days in advance. Free and Team plans will follow soon. The full list of features can be found in the Help Center.
