BMW has received 100,000 orders for iX3 in Europe alone

BMW has announced that it has received 100,000 orders for the iX3 in Europe alone, marking the best first-year start for any of its models. This strong initial response comes as the Munich-based carmaker continues to roll out new models featuring "New Class" technologies. Jochen Goller, the sales director, expressed that this milestone demonstrates the growing momentum behind electric mobility.

The iX3 is among the first vehicles of the New Class, a range of models incorporating innovative technologies. BMW aims to introduce a total of 40 new and revised models with these technologies by the end of 2027. Orders for the i3, the second model in the New Class series, are scheduled to begin at the end of the month. The iX3 has been responsible for approximately one-third of electric car orders in Europe since its launch.

Within the X3 family, electric models currently account for around half of all orders, surpassing the brand's average. In 2022, BMW delivered nearly 2.17 million vehicles globally, with 336,000 of them being pure electric cars. The company recently received 30,000 orders for the ID. Polo, a new electric model that has only been available for ordering since April.
