Barcelona hit seven in Racing Santander rout

Barcelona's Raphinha scored a hat-trick as the Catalan giants secured a 7-2 victory over promoted Racing Santander in La Liga on Wednesday. The league leaders, under Hansi Flick's management, maintained their perfect record with another commanding win over their promoted opponents, extending their lead to three points over Real Madrid.

Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus, and Lamine Yamal also found the back of the net for Barcelona, who have now scored 33 goals in seven games across all competitions. The match began with Barcelona pressuring from the start, with Cancelo opening the scoring in the eighth minute from an eighth-minute free kick. Dani Olmo came close to scoring twice before Raphinha broke the deadlock with a penalty in the 26th minute after being fouled by Pedro Felipe.

Racing Santander managed to equalize in the 35th minute when Maguette Gueye scored a neat finish after barging through Barca's defense. However, Barcelona quickly regained the lead through Cancelo's second goal in the 38th minute, which deflected in off Asier Villalibre. Raphinha added another goal in the 46th minute after coming in as a substitute, and Yamal was close to scoring a fifth goal, only to have his penalty saved by Racing's goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala.

The second half saw Zabiri pull another back for Racing in the 70th minute after a mistake by Barcelona's goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who tried to dribble the ball. Zabiri managed to score from the resulting penalty. Raphinha completed his hat-trick with another penalty in the 73rd minute, extending his lead as the league's top scorer.

Gabriel Jesus added the sixth goal in the 87th minute, and the final goal came in the 90th minute when Jesus capitalized on a deft pass from Yamal.
