Apple Watch Series 12 has subtle design change that Apple didn’t mention

Apple Watch Series 12 is set to launch this Friday (pre-orders available here), but tech enthusiasts may notice a subtle design tweak that Apple didn't highlight. Apple typically aims to minimize bezels around the display across all its devices, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. However, the Series 12 appears to deviate from this norm by featuring slightly larger bezels around its display.

According to Apple's website, the case width for the Series 12 is marginally wider than its predecessors, resulting in a somewhat undersized display relative to the larger case. This change could make the bezels more noticeable. The Series 12 does bring several internal enhancements, such as the Health Sensing System and the S11 chip, which likely contributed to the need for a slightly larger case.

Upgraders from recent Apple Watch models should be aware that the new design might feel like a step back from the trend of progressively reducing bezels.
