Amanda Seyfried, Thomas Sadoski end marriage after nine years

Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have announced their decision to end their nine-year marriage. In a joint statement to PEOPLE, the couple revealed they had been living apart for some time prior to going public with the news. Rather than viewing the separation as a loss, they described it as the most constructive path forward for their family.

Seyfried and Sadoski, who first met in 2015 while performing together in an off-Broadway production, began dating in 2016 and married the following year. They welcomed their first child, Nina, just after their wedding and later had another son, Thomas Jr. The couple chose to raise their children on their private farm in upstate New York, minimizing their public exposure.

While Sadoski expressed his deep love and admiration for his wife, the statement emphasized their mutual respect and support for each other's careers. They thanked each other publicly for their respective achievements, with Seyfried crediting Sadoski for his support during her Emmy win in 2022 and Sadoski reciprocating at the premiere of a film she starred in in 2023.

Despite the end of their marriage after nearly a decade together, Seyfried and Sadoski are moving forward on their own terms, expressing that they "got each other forever—and it's GOOD."
