All supporting acts quit Ed Sheeran tour in protest of Macklemore’s removal

Four supporting acts, including musician Finneas, quit Ed Sheeran's tour in protest of Macklemore's removal, according to reports. The US rapper was removed from the Loop Tour for his pro-Palestine comments on stage. Finneas, along with Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, and Danish band Lukas Graham, all expressed solidarity with Macklemore and the Palestinian people by stating they were quitting the tour.

Finneas emphasized that artists should not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed in his statement on social media. Irish singer Aaron Rowe also cited his Irish heritage and knowledge of genocide and violent occupation as reasons for his withdrawal from the tour. Beoga echoed a similar sentiment, stating they left the tour due to what they called the silencing of Macklemore by Zionist lobbies.

The Danish pop band Lukas Graham also announced their departure, stating that everyone should be able to speak about war, civilian casualties, and children's suffering without being silenced.
