Akinsanmiro targets Monza success

Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has joined Monza with the intention of turning his Italian loan spells into success, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra. The 20-year-old initially played for Inter Milan's U-19 side, scoring six goals in 37 appearances, before being promoted to the first team and making one Serie A appearance in the 2023/24 season. Akinsanmiro also helped Inter win the Coppa Italia that season.

He then joined Sampdoria on loan in Serie B, where he scored one goal and provided one assist in 35 appearances before returning to the top flight with Pisa in the 2025/26 season. At Pisa, Akinsanmiro made 24 Serie A appearances. He later moved to Monza on another loan spell this term, where he has quickly established himself, providing one assist in three league appearances so far.

Akinsanmiro credits the ambition of Monza for his decision to join the club, stating that he wants to improve and be part of the team's success. The current 18th-placed Monza have only drawn once in the Serie A, but are through to the next round of the Coppa Italia. Akinsanmiro also reflected on his previous loan spells, particularly at Sampdoria, which provided him with valuable first-team experience. He credits the experience gained at Sampdoria, Pisa, and Inter for shaping him as a player and a person.
