Aduku reiterates World Cup dream ahead of England clash

Nigeria’s women’s U-20 coach Moses Aduku has reiterated his goal of winning the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup ahead of their round of 16 match against England in Poland. The Falconets, who recently defeated New Caledonia 10-1, will face the English team at Stadion Miejski Bielsko-Biała on Thursday. Aduku emphasized that securing the trophy has always been his ultimate objective since taking charge of the team.

He assured the players and staff that winning on Thursday would be unsurprising and that celebrations would follow on the pitch, with focus shifting to the next game. Nigeria's round of 16 qualification came after a 10-1 win over New Caledonia in their previous match, with Ramotalahi Kareem scoring a hat-trick and Winner Onajite David adding three goals.

Aduku anticipates a tough challenge from England, but expressed the team’s readiness to face the European side. The U-20 World Cup is Nigeria's sixth appearance and a second consecutive time in the knockout stage.
