2027: PDP backs Wike’s Rainbow Coalition for Tinubu’s re-election, says APC governors underperformed

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and All Progressives Congress governors have engaged in a dispute over the Rainbow Coalition. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, representing Wike, contends that any alliance could potentially weaken President Tinubu's re-election chances or undermine the party's position for the 2031 elections.

The Rainbow Coalition, as championed by Wike, is designed to bolster President Tinubu while simultaneously enabling the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to field candidates in multiple constituencies.
