Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 17 Pro Max and Note 17 Pro in India

Xiaomi has launched its premium Redmi Note 17 series in India, introducing both the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max and Pro variants. These smartphones cater to the high-end market segment. The devices boast a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,500 nits, complemented by HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support.

They are also equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, dual stereo speakers, and boast an impressive range of IP ratings. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is shipped with a spacious 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, paired with a 100W charger, and supports 27W reverse wired charging. In contrast, the Redmi Note 17 Pro carries a 9,000 mAh battery, comes with a 67W charger, and offers 22.5W wired charging.

Inside, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip. Both devices are available with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, though the Pro Max offers options for 12 GB RAM. Operating on HyperOS 3, which is built on Android 16, these smartphones will receive 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max sports a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8 MP ultrawide lens, along with a 32 MP front camera. The Redmi Note 17 Pro also includes a 50 MP main and 8 MP ultrawide sensor, supported by a 16 MP front camera. Pricing starts at ₹49,999 for the 8 GB/256 GB version of the Pro Max and ₹36,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB variant of the Pro.

The Pro will be available for purchase starting September 17, while the Pro Max becomes available on September 23. These devices can be purchased across Mi, Amazon, and Xiaomi retail outlets.
