World : Saudi Air Defences Intercept Houthi Drone Near Mecca
ISTANBUL, Sept 16 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- Saudi air defences intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi group near Mecca, the Saudi-led coalition said early Wednesday, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported.
Saudi air defenses repelled a drone attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels near the holy city of Mecca, according to a coalition spokesperson. The Houthi strike came just a day after coalition forces reported 13 civilians were injured by Houthi missile and drone assaults in Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif. Seven homes and two vehicles sustained damage in the prior attacks.
Meanwhile, the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil price slipped 0.85% to $100.10 on Tuesday, down from its previous day's level. WTI, a benchmark crude oil price, is favored by traders for its high quality and ease of refining. The cost of WTI is influenced by factors such as global supply and demand, political instability, OPEC decisions, and the value of the US Dollar.
