Vision 2030 Secretariat Invites Stakeholders to Join Beyond-2030 Steering Committee

The Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat (VDS) has extended an invitation to stakeholder groups across Kenya to join the formation of a Multi-Stakeholder Steering Committee. This committee will steer Kenya's national discourse on long-term development beyond Vision 2030, as the current plan nears its conclusion. The Secretariat issued this call for participation on September 15, 2026, highlighting the committee's role in guiding public conversations from local to national levels.

The initiative aims to ensure that Kenya's future development vision reflects the collective aspirations, values, and principles of Kenyans, as enshrined in the Constitution. Following the release of the Technical Working Group's report in July 2026, the National Conversation on Beyond Vision 2030 was launched on August 12, 2026.

This led to stakeholder engagements that identified key clusters of organizations to participate in the national conversation. These clusters encompass various sectors such as MSMEs and private-sector employers, workers' associations, professional associations, children's organizations, youth-serving organizations, student networks, women's networks, persons with disabilities, civil society organizations, faith-based organizations, academia and research institutions, the diaspora, the digital and technology sector, media organizations, farmers and cooperatives.

The VDS invites nominations from these clusters, requiring each cluster to nominate a convenor and three volunteer representatives. The convenor must be an organization with credibility and experience in the sector. Nominees must demonstrate integrity, relevant experience, and a willingness to support public conversations and consensus-building from the grassroots to the national level.

Stakeholders have until October 7, 2026, at 5pm EAT to submit their expressions of interest through the Beyond-2030 portal or to the Secretariat's contact details.
