Vilnius-based EnforceShield raises €1.7 million Seed round to fight AI-powered IP abuse with autonomous enforcement

Vilnius-based LegalTech startup EnforceShield has secured a €1.7 million Seed round investment to advance its autonomous intellectual property (IP) enforcement platform. Led by Vendep Capital with participation from FIRSTPICK VC, the funding will be allocated to enhance the platform's capabilities and expand its reach across various IP lifecycle management areas.

Artis Bisers, Investment Manager at Vendep Capital, commented on the trend of AI transforming service businesses into software and highlighted that legal services, particularly IP enforcement, are ripe for automation. EnforceShield's CEO, Rytis Rudzinskas, emphasized the company's unique approach to utilizing AI in tackling IP abuse, stating that traditional methods of relying on a growing number of lawyers and analysts would not address the scaling challenges posed by AI-driven IP violations.

The autonomous platform continuously detects, analyzes, and executes enforcement actions against IP rights infringers, handling the entire workflow from detection, analysis, legal validation, takedown execution, monitoring, and escalation. Rudzinskas explained that the system's AI agents make case-level enforcement decisions, allowing the platform to operate as a "human-at-the-end" model where attorneys only approve system outcomes and handle complex escalations.

With the newly raised capital, EnforceShield aims to further develop its technical and product capacities, extending its automated enforcement capabilities to more sophisticated workflows, such as escalation management, handling repeat offenders, and addressing more complex enforcement pathways. The startup envisions becoming the go-to enforcement solution for IP enterprises across various industries, including e-commerce, tech, sports, media, and publishing.
