Ulhasnagar Murder Case: Two Arrested For Killing 29-Year-Old Man After Liquor Shop Dispute Ahead Of Ganeshotsav

In the days leading up to Ganeshotsav, the Vitthalwadi police made two arrests in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Nitesh Ramesh Lodhe in Ulhasnagar Camp-4. The accused, identified as Vikas Pagare and Vikram Bawge, were apprehended following a minor dispute outside Master Wine Shop at Veenash Chowk. According to the police report, the incident occurred on September 13th, 2026, when an accidental push during a liquor purchase escalated into a violent altercation.

The two suspects are alleged to have assaulted Lodhe, leading to his death. Following a complaint from the deceased's sister, Priya Ramesh Lodhe, the Vitthalwadi police registered a murder case and initiated an investigation. With the assistance of Senior Police Inspector Chandrahara Godse, the police traced the accused through CCTV footage and technical evidence, leading to their swift arrest within hours of the incident.

Both Vikas Pagare and Vikram Bawge were subsequently brought before the court and remanded to three days of police custody. The police also conducted a public procession of the accused to reinforce the message that taking the law into one's own hands would result in swift and stringent action. This procession was carried out under the guidance of Inspector Godse, with a large police presence to maintain law and order and ensure public safety during the Ganeshotsav celebrations.
