Tyler Perry’s ‘Why Did I Get Married Again?’ Debuts as Week’s Top Netflix Movie With Over 19 Million Views

Tyler Perry's third installment in the dramedy series "Why Did I Get Married Again?" dominated Netflix's top movies for the week of September 7, with a staggering 19.3 million views. The film edged out previous top-viewed movie "The Whisper Man" (33.4 million views) but saw a drop in viewership to 12.7 million for its third week.

Perry's repertoire of TV and movies have been thriving on Netflix, as seen with the success of "Beauty in Black" Season 3 (3.3 million views), which is now ranked sixth on the platform's most-watched TV shows. "Beauty in Black" previously held the second spot for two consecutive weeks and has been renewed for a fourth season. Overall, the week's TV lineup was led by "The Gentlemen" Season 2 (9.9 million views), which climbed from its debut week's 6.7 million views.

Season 1 of "The Gentlemen" entered the top 10 TV shows, occupying the third position with 5.5 million views. True crime docuseries "Death of the Pastor’s Wife" claimed the fourth spot with 6 million views, after holding the top spot for two weeks. Netflix's newest YA show "Crew Girl" ranked fifth in the TV list with 5.2 million views.

Reality series "Earle Meets World" moved up two spots from tenth to eighth after Alix Earle's unscripted show attracted 2.3 million views in its second week. Lastly, Harlan Coben's "I Will Find You" climbed to the fifth spot among Netflix's most popular shows, with a total of 120.3 million views over 13 weeks.
