Three killed in road accident in Belagavi

Three young men lost their lives in a tragic road accident near Saundatti in Belagavi district on Tuesday. The victims were Vinod Jogennavar, 22, Akash Jadhav, 20, and Ravi Kurabar, 22. Their motorbike collided with a North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus near the Hoysala dhaba. The men sustained severe injuries and succumbed to their wounds on the spot.

The bus was en route from Basava Kalyan in Bidar district to Hubballi. The trio were traveling from Saundatti to Dharwad when the unfortunate incident occurred. Their motorbike struck the bus, causing it to slide underneath. Consequently, the young men suffered grave injuries that proved fatal. The local police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.

Efforts are underway to transport the bodies to a nearby hospital and to identify the families of the deceased. A case has been filed at the Saundatti Police Station to look into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
