The Ministry of Social Development and Family organizes a National Workshop to enhance vocational training for priority care groups

Doha, Qatar - The Ministry of Social Development and Family hosted a national workshop aimed at improving vocational training for priority groups in Qatar. Sponsored by Ms. Bathina bint Ali Al Jaber Al Naeemi, the Minister of Social Development and Family, alongside the Doha International Family Institute, the workshop brought together over 30 governmental and semi-governmental entities, civil society organizations, private sector institutions, and experts.

The primary goal of the workshop was to foster dialogue and collaboration among various national bodies to create a more integrated and sustainable system for qualifying and empowering these priority groups. During the event, Mr. Khalifa bin Isa Al Kubaisi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, stressed the ministry's dedication to strengthening national partnerships and unifying efforts to develop a comprehensive vocational rehabilitation system.

The Ministry's 2025-2030 strategy, titled 'From Care to Empowerment,' focuses on creating more integrated and sustainable models that prioritize beneficiaries throughout the planning and development process. Dr. Sharifa Al-Emadi, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute, emphasized the importance of the Institute's involvement in promoting national partnerships based on knowledge and evidence, leading to the development of more effective policies and programs.

Mr. Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Mughaisib, Director of Community Development at the Ministry, highlighted the workshop's participatory approach, allowing participating entities to share their experiences, challenges, and visions. This collaborative effort aims to identify gaps, set priorities, explore integration opportunities, and gain a clearer understanding of the beneficiaries' journey and the roles of various partners at each stage.
