The IDF and ISA struck a senior Hamas terrorist in the southern Gaza Strip

On Monday night, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a strike in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of Ahmad Batash, the commander of Hamas's Jabaliya Battalion, according to the IDF military. Batash was the one in charge of logistics for the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades Northern Gaza Brigade and had a crucial role in supplying weapons and equipment to Hamas terrorists in the area.

He was actively working to restore the terrorist organization's capabilities, directly violating the ceasefire agreement. The IDF and Israel's Shin Bet (Security Agency) carried out the operation in coordination with each other. Batash was recently responsible for leading attacks on IDF troops and Israeli civilians, as confirmed by the military.

The IDF's killing of Batash is part of their ongoing counterterrorism efforts across the Gaza Strip. This marks at least the fifth terrorist serving in command and force-building positions to be killed this week, with at least four Hamas commanders being killed on Monday, including one top commander from Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade who was eliminated in an overnight strike.
