Texas's Arch Manning apologizes for laughing at AI video of coach slapping female reporter

On Tuesday, Texas quarterback Arch Manning issued an apology to ESPN reporter Holly Rowe for joking about an AI-generated video during a press conference in Austin. When asked about any social media edits celebrating Texas's victory over Ohio State, Manning playfully mentioned an AI edit in which Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian slapped Rowe during a postgame interview. "I saw an AI edit of Sark’s interview. Have y’all seen that one? That’s a good one, of him slapping Holly Rowe? It’s hilarious," Manning said.

However, Manning later realized that the incident was not amusing and issued an apology. In his statement, he admitted that his words and actions were hurtful to many people. ESPN declined to comment on the matter. Rowe responded on her Instagram account, expressing gratitude to Manning for their conversation and stating that she forgave him. The apology was accepted, and both parties moved forward with respect and kindness towards each other.
