Sterling admits dangerous driving after motorway crash

Raheem Sterling, the 31-year-old former England footballer, has admitted to a series of traffic offenses following a crash involving a Lamborghini on the M3 motorway in Hampshire. The incident occurred on the morning of May 28th, 2022, as reported by Hampshire Police. Sterling, who has 82 caps for England, including the last one at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide for inhalation, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

The court heard that he had crashed into motorway barriers while driving a Lamborghini Urus on the M25, M3, A327, and Minley Road. Sterling, who has recently played for Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie, had also played for Chelsea and Arsenal. He was also awarded an MBE in the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours for his work in racial equality in sport. No other vehicles were involved in the collision, and no injuries were reported.
