Salesforce announces AIforce, unlocking the power of its platform using composable agents

Salesforce has unveiled AIforce, a new AI interface layer that enables users to access the power of the company's platform wherever they work, using AI agents. This release, announced at the Dreamforce conference in San Francisco, brings business logic, semantics, security, and governance to AI agents, allowing companies to leverage existing skills, cookbooks, dashboards, and workflow automation in their own environments.

The key components of AIforce include Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker. Claudeforce leverages Salesforce's partnership with Anthropic PBC to provide 37 prebuilt sales skills, extending to other functions like Tableau analytics, service, marketing, commerce, and industry-specific applications. Slackforce, designed for communication platforms like Slack, allows users to pull relevant context and data from Salesforce for live, interactive interfaces.

Agentforce Coworker functions as an AI teammate within Salesforce, capable of customizing its actions based on business rules, permissions, and security protocols.

The underlying architecture, Headless 360, exposes Salesforce's core components to developers and builders, enabling them to create bespoke AI experiences without deep technical knowledge. AIforce sits atop this infrastructure, abstracting away the complexities and making it accessible to non-technical users. This marks a significant step in transforming AI and platform integration, creating a dynamic ecosystem where users can discover, deploy, and customize AI agents and applications through the AgentExchange marketplace.
