Reminder: iOS 27's All-New Siri AI Has a Waitlist, Here's How to Sign Up

Apple unveiled iOS 27, following three months of beta testing. However, the new Siri AI and dedicated Siri app are not immediately accessible after installing the update. To utilize these features, users must join Apple's waitlist. It's important to note that Siri AI is only available on iPhone 15 Pro and newer models, as it requires compatibility with Apple Intelligence.

Once signed up, wait times vary, with some users gaining access within minutes and others experiencing delays of several hours or even days. Upon receiving access, users can interact with Siri AI through three methods: swiping down on Dynamic Island, pressing and holding the side button, or opening the Siri app. Unlike previous versions, Siri AI is significantly more intelligent and personalized, functioning like a ChatGPT-like version that can answer most questions and draw on personal information stored on the iPhone.

Siri AI currently supports English, but Apple plans to introduce support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish in October. Daily usage limits apply, although expanded access will be granted with certain iCloud+ plans. Unfortunately, Siri AI is not available in the EU on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and watchOS 27 due to an ongoing regulatory dispute with the European Commission.
