Railway introduces OTP-based digital locker

Northern Railway has launched an OTP-based digital locker system at four major Delhi railway stations, providing a secure and convenient solution for passengers to store their luggage. The lockers are available at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi Junction, and Anand Vihar Terminal stations, catering to travelers who wish to explore the city or wait between trains without carrying heavy luggage.Passengers can utilize the digital lockers by registering their mobile numbers at the designated monitors near the lockers, receiving an OTP on their phones to verify their identity.

Once verified, passengers can choose the locker size and duration that suits their needs, make payments through digital platforms like Google Pay, Paytm, and PhonePe, and securely store their belongings.The lockers are expected to be operational at Anand Vihar Terminal and Delhi Junction stations shortly. They will be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enhancing convenience for tourists, passengers with extended waiting periods, and those traveling with heavy luggage.
