PSC announces 1,000 paid internship vacancies in Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education in <country> has opened 1,000 internship positions as part of the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) Cohort 5. These opportunities were announced through the State Department for Basic Education, as the government aims to enhance technological integration in primary school education. The Public Service Commission (PSC) issued a notice on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, detailing the requirements and responsibilities of the successful candidates.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Information Communication Technology (ICT), a Bachelor's degree in ICT, or a Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education from a recognized institution, with at least a 2022 graduation date. Candidates must also demonstrate proficiency in networking, infrastructure, applications development, information security, and project management.

Additionally, successful applicants should possess skills in e-learning and content development, research, and innovation to support the Digital Literacy Programme.

The selected interns will work full-time within Sub-county Education Offices, supporting e-learning, content creation, classroom instruction, and teacher training on digital devices. They will also aid in implementing the Digital Learning Programme, promote safe and ethical technology use, and collaborate with school staff to integrate ICT into teaching and learning.

The internship program lasts for 12 months and is not renewable. Upon completion, interns will receive a certificate from the State Department for Basic Education.
