Police are seeking assistance in locating the victim's relatives or family members, as there have been reports of missing persons or uncontactable individuals since August 19. The deceased's body was discovered in the wheel bay of a plane from Tokyo, Japan, on August 27.

Chief Ravi stated that the police investigation into the victim's death has been opened, while the victim's family is needed for a subsequent identification process. "Many people have family members or acquaintances who have gone missing or cannot be contacted since August 19, so please contact the nearest police station, especially if you know they were in the KLIA area," he said in a statement.

The victim's body was found by maintenance crew after the plane landed at Terminal 2 KLIA. They detected a foul odor coming from the wheel bay. The victim is believed to have died more than 72 hours before his body was discovered, with no identification documents found.
