Orihuela Tardeada festival returns with Crystal Fighters and free Friday entry

The indie music festival Tardeada is set to return to Orihuela for its second edition from Friday, September 18 to Saturday, September 19 at the Los Huertos fairground. The event, organized by the Orihuela Town Hall, aims to build on its successful debut in 2025, which drew over 12,000 attendees and generated an estimated €2.1 million in local economic activity.

This year's Tardeada boasts a diverse line-up featuring both established acts and emerging local talent. Crystal Fighters, an international band, will headline the festival, alongside a number of Spanish artists including Alvaro de Luna, Xoel Lopez, Zahara Rave, Funambulista, Karavana, Samurai, and Amatria. To accommodate the expanded line-up, the festival will be spread across two stages, providing more live music options for festival-goers.

One of the most notable changes for the 2026 edition is the introduction of free admission on Friday, September 18. This decision aims to make the festival more accessible to the wider community, allowing anyone to enjoy the music without needing to purchase a ticket. Organizers are also enhancing the festival experience with dedicated food and social areas, creating a more immersive two-day event.

Tardeada is scheduled to take place as part of Orihuela's September celebrations for the Virgen de Monserrate, a significant local religious holiday. The festival has the potential to become a regular fixture in the city's September calendar, according to organizers.
