Netflix’s ‘The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey’ Sets Release Date, First Look at Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen

Netflix is set to premiere a limited series titled "The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey" on December 10, starring Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen. The series delves into one of the most infamous unsolved murders in American history, which occurred on December 25, 1996, when six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was found dead in her family home, with her cause of death being determined to be strangulation and ruled a homicide.

Despite numerous theories over the years, no one has been convicted or formally tried in connection with JonBenét's death. Burke Ramsey, JonBenét's brother, has been a prominent suspect in several conspiracies, with some believing he was responsible for the murder and their parents covering it up. The series was initially developed for Paramount+ by 101 Studios, but was later acquired by Netflix after the merger between Paramount and Skydance.

Richard LaGravenese serves as the showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with McCarthy and Owen reprising their roles as Patsy and John Ramsey, respectively. The cast also includes Emily Mitchell as JonBenét, Garrett Hedlund as Det. Steve Thomas, Alison Pill as Det. Linda Arndt, Shea Whigham as Alex Hunter, and many others.
