NBCC Bags ₹144.98 Crore In New Orders, Bokaro Steel Plant Projects Lead Fresh Domestic Wins

New Delhi: India's NBCC Limited has secured seven domestic work orders worth around Rs 144.98 crore, excluding GST, recently disclosed in an exchange filing dated September 15. These contracts encompass township development, housing repairs, industrial sheds, and government office renovations. The majority of these assignments originated from the state-owned Bokaro Projects under the Steel Authority of India Limited, with four assignments valued at Rs 111.92 crore making up the bulk of the inflow.

The largest individual contract, valued at Rs 55.91 crore, covers extensive external repairs and painting for 654 building blocks in BSL Township, Bokaro, Jharkhand.

Additionally, NBCC received a Rs 9.05 crore contract for upgrading, repairing, and maintaining 500 residential quarters in Bokaro Steel City Township. Two other orders, each worth Rs 23.48 crore, involve constructing two sheds in the general stores area of Bokaro Steel Plant. These sheds, each measuring 250 meters by 30 meters, will incorporate a 25-tonne electric overhead travelling crane facility.

Other domestic assignments include a Rs 11.21 crore project management consultancy contract awarded by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited for a township development in Umsawli, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong. A 21.66-acre plot is being developed as a deposit work on a turnkey basis.

NBCC also secured a Rs 5.86 crore contract for interior renovation and furnishing at the Enforcement Directorate's new Bhubaneswar zonal office. Furthermore, Damodar Valley Corporation placed a Rs 15.99 crore order for constructing an officers' dormitory building at Mayabazar in Durgapur. NBCC has classified all these contracts as domestic project management consultancy work, with no related-party considerations applied.

The company did not disclose execution timelines, stating that no promoting entities have any interest in the awarded clients.
