Nana Oye Bampoe Addo leads female government delegation to Asantehemaa

Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration and Finance, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, spearheaded a gathering of female government officials on a visit to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Monday, September 14. The purpose of this courtesy call was to convey the government's warmest regards and congratulations to the freshly appointed Queen Mother, Her Majesty Nana Yaa Akyaa II, Asantehemaa of Asanteman.

This visit underscored the critical significance of ongoing collaboration between government institutions and traditional leadership authorities. The delegation featured high-ranking presidential aides, ministers and deputy ministers, national executives, chief executive officers, heads of key institutions, prominent members of parliament, and the top leaders from the Ashanti Metropolitan Municipal District.

Following the royal family's introduction, the delegation was welcomed by Amankwah Amoateng, a member of the royal lineage. Upon Her Majesty's arrival and the royal family's acknowledgment, the Mamponghemaa, the Ahenefohemaa, and other royal family members reciprocated the welcome with firm handshakes. Each member of the delegation was then introduced to the Queen Mother, accompanied by the resonant beats of traditional drums.

Notable attendees included Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana; COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, Director-General of the CID; Lawyer Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC; Daniella Mawusi Know Sarpong, Chief Fire Service Officer; Juliet Amoakohene, wife of Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene; the wife of Kumasi's mayor; and the wife of Ashanti Regional Chairman.

During this ceremonial visit, the delegation presented Her Majesty with an assortment of gifts, serving as a token of goodwill and respect.
