Moment of truth for Kenya in bid to host World Athletics Championships

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced plans to host the 2026 Seoul International Drone Racing World Cup on October 23 and 24 at Gwangnaru Hangang Drone Park. The event will feature 60 pilots from 10 countries competing in high-speed racing drone races through obstacle courses using first-person-view goggles. This marks the second year for the event, which has expanded to include hands-on activities such as drone basketball, drone fishing, racing simulators, career counseling, and drone assembly and coding classes.

Children and teenagers will also have the opportunity to pilot drones and learn about drone technology and potential career paths in the field. The winner of the competition will receive the Seoul Mayor's Award and a cash prize of 5 million won ($3,600).
