Meta plans to launch camera-free smart glasses for fall, The Information reports

Meta plans to launch camera-free smart glasses this fall, according to The Information. The glasses, internally named Luna, will not have cameras due to growing concerns over their recording capabilities. Instead, the devices will feature six microphones to enable users to interact with Meta's AI chatbot, Luna, and Muse, the company's new consumer AI agent.

A button on the side will allow users to quickly activate Meta AI, while speakers similar to those in current models will be included. Meta may unveil Luna at its upcoming Connect developer conference on Wednesday and Thursday, with shipments targeting October, as per the report. Meta has not yet commented on the matter.
