Man turns himself in after stabbing wife 13 times

PETAJAYA: A 43-year-old unemployed man surrendered himself to police after fatally stabbing his 39-year-old wife multiple times in Kulim, Kedah, last night. According to Kulim police chief Syamsul Sinring, the brutal attack, suspected to be motivated by jealousy, took place in their master bedroom, which also houses their three-year-old child. The suspect, who has no previous criminal record and tested negative for drugs, recounted his gruesome actions to authorities after showering and leaving the home with their child.

The man had inflicted seven wounds in the victim's chest, five in the abdomen, and one in the right rib area before taking the child to a babysitter. He subsequently handed the child over to his sister at a Juru rest stop along the North-South Expressway and confessed to the authorities at the Lunas police station. The case is currently under investigation for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
