SafariBucks' Spend Management product will also integrate with BuuPass' corporate travel platform, Gavanpass, allowing companies to manage employee travel expenses across multiple currencies.
BuuPass launched Gavanpass in April 2026 to facilitate the booking and management of flights, hotels, buses, ground transfers, and group travel, complete with approval workflows and real-time spend tracking. Co-founder and CEO Sonia Kabra of BuuPass stated that payments are the more challenging aspect of the travel experience, and this partnership aims to address that issue.
BuuPass, launched in 2016, allows users to book intercity travel tickets through its proprietary software and APIs, integrating with various financial and mobile money platforms across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Africa.
