Kyron Harvett, Manager of Operations Technology at GCT, highlighted the system's capability through a successful trial of heavy-duty battery-electric terminal tractors, operating around the clock over multiple days using opportunity charging alone.
Kempower’s modular and distributed charging technology boasts built-in redundancy to maximize uptime and maintain vehicle movement for daily operations. Its flexible design accommodates existing port operations, ensuring productive fleets without disrupting day-to-day activities. The site features 21 dual-plug Kempower Satellites, offering 42 fast-charging plugs and 2.05 megawatts of available charging power.
