Jerry-John Yenabi Foundation supports 600 SHS freshers in Krachi Nchumuru

The Jerry-John Yenabi Foundation has launched a project to provide new students in the Krachi Nchumuru District with essential items and free transportation for their first year at Senior High School (SHS). The donation, under the theme "Touching Lives and Transforming Society," includes mattresses, chop boxes, buckets, and other basic learning materials. The initiative aims to lessen the financial strain on parents and prevent students from dropping out due to poverty.

Speaking at the event, the Foundation's CEO, Jerry-John Yenabi, highlighted that investing in people is the most effective way to bring about community change. He urged the students to stay focused, steer clear of negative habits, and recognize that their present situation does not dictate their future.

The Foundation's efforts to improve education in the region are well-known, as it has already distributed free uniforms to over 3,000 children, donated 1,000 copybooks to the Ghana Education Service, helped renovate dilapidated school buildings, and supplied anti-snake venom to protect lives. They have also announced a full scholarship for the student who achieves the highest marks in the district's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2026.

Nana Amankunte, the traditional leader, commended the Foundation for its continuous support of education and community development. He emphasized the importance of taking studies seriously and becoming responsible leaders in their communities. Parents whose children received the items expressed their gratitude to the Foundation and advised the students to steer clear of harmful substances to ensure a better future.

The Foundation also called upon government, traditional authorities, and religious bodies to join forces in accelerating development in the district.
