Inside Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s baby shower with Raj Nidimoru: ‘Every mantra has purpose’

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is expecting her first child with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. To celebrate, she hosted an intimate baby shower ceremony at Sadhguru's Isha Foundation. In her Instagram post, Samantha shared pictures and videos of the ceremony in a yellow outfit, showcasing her pregnancy glow. She expressed her deep respect for traditions, acknowledging the meaning behind the mantras, energy of chanting, and generational practices.

The priest, a Srividya Upaasaka, explained each step, revealing the purpose behind every mantra, offering, and ritual. One special ritual, Kalaa Aavarana (Sri Kalpam), involved sacred water and mantras to cleanse and energize the pregnant woman's 94 kalas, symbolizing her various qualities. Samantha expressed how the mother is honored as Devi herself, a sacred creator, and a blessing for both the growing child and the woman embarking on a new version of herself.

The chanting was believed to create a protective field around mother and child. Raj Nidimoru, Samantha's husband, was present, making the occasion even more meaningful.
