'He may well just feel at home' - how Maresca is settling in at Man City

Sutton observed that United struggled to control the game and posed a threat to City's attacks. He praised the substitution of Iliman Ndiaye for Rayan Cherki, stating it was an excellent decision, as Ndiaye is more of a runner and brings additional threat to the attack. The win alleviated concerns among Manchester City supporters about the shift from Pep Guardiola to Maresca.

Sutton also noted that the recruitment by City has been smart and shrewd, adding that the match was a masterclass from Maresca. He mentioned that even though City played with 10 men, they looked like the superior team, which is a big feather in Maresca's cap.

Former Chelsea manager Maresca seemed more relaxed during his tenure at Manchester City compared to his time at Chelsea, according to Sutton. The Observer's Rory Smith added that Maresca must feel at home at City, as the club had shown confidence in him by offering him the position eight to nine months ago.
