Hasirani Rath is BJP's Nandigram face for bypoll

Kolkata: BJP has chosen Hasirani Rath as its candidate for the Nandigram bypoll, following the tragic murder of her late husband, Chandranath Rath, a former aide of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. The ruling party anticipates a landslide victory with a margin exceeding 100,000 votes. During a public rally, Adhikari alleged that the Bhaipo Gang was behind Chandranath Rath's murder, offering a Rs 2 crore bribe for the crime.

He also mentioned that seven individuals have been arrested by the CBI, with a chargesheet filed against them. Hasirani Rath, a long-standing BJP worker and member of the district's organizational committee, expressed her commitment to serving the people of Nandigram, pledging to give her 'last drop of blood' for the party's success.
