DAP's Gobind Singh Deo urged Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar to explain the decision to drop four charges against former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin related to Bukhary Equity Sdn Bhd. As a lawyer himself, Deo emphasized that Mokhtar had a responsibility to provide a detailed explanation for the order for release without bond (DNAA) that led to Muhyiddin's release from the four charges today.

The digital minister highlighted the importance of the decision due to the high-profile case garnering widespread public attention that was nearly at its end. Deo stressed that the public's trust in the Attorney-General and the integrity of the criminal justice system would be severely damaged if an active prosecution was abruptly halted without clear justification and a full explanation to the public.
