Errors in student data causing delays, operational difficulties: CBSE asks schools to submit verified data

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has sent a letter to all school principals and heads across India, highlighting errors in student data that have caused delays and operational difficulties in the examination process. The board has been unable to maintain timelines and ensure efficiency due to incorrect information submitted by schools, leading to problems for candidates and additional requests for corrections.

Schools affiliated with CBSE were reminded multiple times to provide accurate details on personal data and student subjects. However, many schools failed to submit the required information, causing issues for the board in the examination process. A senior CBSE official explained that the board had begun the pre-examination process, collecting lists of candidates who would appear for the upcoming year's exams from the schools.

However, numerous schools submitted incorrect subject codes, subject names, and student or parent details, resulting in the need for correction requests.

The board also pointed out that schools did not submit the location of students and other details within the specified timeline. CBSE has urged all schools to prepare with accurate student information before submitting the list of candidates (LOC). The board seeks a coordinated effort from all affiliated schools to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of examinations and timely declaration of results.

Officials stated that the registration process for Classes 9 and 11, as well as LOC submission for Classes 10 and 12, will commence soon. To avoid complications, schools are asked to double-check student details, including personal information, subjects registered, photographs, and signatures, in the specified format before submission.
