Cops looking for family of dead man found in plane wheel-well

KLIA police are urgently seeking the family of an unidentified man discovered dead within the wheel-well of a plane that had landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 2 from Tokyo, Japan, on August 27. The victim's identity remains unknown despite authorities obtaining a photograph of him. KLIA Police Chief M Ravi announced that a sudden death investigation has been initiated, and the deceased's family is required to assist in identification and completion of the investigation.

Police are appealing for the public to come forward if they have any family members or acquaintances who have been missing or uncontactable since August 19, particularly if they were believed to be in the vicinity of KLIA at that time. The man was found by engineering personnel who detected an unusual smell emanating from the wheel-well following the plane's landing at KLIA Terminal 2.

Evidence suggests that the individual had been deceased for more than three days prior to his body being discovered. No identification documents were found on the body.
