CE to deliver five-year plan and PA on Wednesday

Chief Executive John Lee announced on Tuesday that Hong Kong's first five-year plan and annual Policy Address will be presented on Wednesday. During a meeting with reporters prior to the weekly Executive Council meeting, Lee explained that the five-year plan would feature a blue cover, symbolizing openness, progress, and stability.

In contrast, the Policy Address will retain its green cover, representing continuity, vitality, and hope. The five-year plan will outline Hong Kong's overall direction and long-term vision, with the government focusing on reforms, creating opportunities, and ensuring that economic benefits are shared among all residents. Lee emphasized that the plan is not a planned economy but rather a strategic roadmap, detailing where the government aims to head and which areas should be prioritized.

A special booklet featuring key highlights from both documents will be released, offering the public a clearer understanding of their contents. Lee also mentioned that after delivering the two documents, he will participate in various media appearances, including a press conference, television forum, radio shows, and an interactive question-and-answer session at the Legislative Council, to provide further clarification on the documents' contents.
