Captain (Retd.) Sohail Chaudhry Takes Charge as IG Islamabad

Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has officially taken on the role of Inspector General (IG) for Islamabad Police. A change-of-command ceremony took place, with a police unit leading the way to present him with a guard of honor. Chaudhry engaged in introductory meetings with fellow police officers and obtained briefings on various professional and operational matters.

He also had discussions with personnel from the Central Police Office, addressing numerous issues. The new IG proceeded to visit the Martyrs’ Memorial.

Sohail Chaudhry emphasized that preserving law and order and safeguarding citizens would remain his foremost priorities. He stated that the police services would be expedited and made more efficient. Chaudhry also advocated for enhanced crime prevention measures, improved traffic management, enhanced public services, and increased utilization of modern technology within the police force.

The IG expressed his intentions to further bolster public trust in the Islamabad Police. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of reinforcing accountability and discipline within the force, and vowed to honor the sacrifices made by police martyrs.
