Canada deports 4 more Indians in extortion crackdown, total reaches 111

Canadian authorities have removed more than 100 individuals from the country due to criminal activities, with a significant number believed to be of Indian origin. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that 111 people were removed as of September 3, 2025, out of 188 removal orders issued. The Pacific region, particularly Surrey in British Columbia, experienced the highest number of removals, with 58 cases.

In the Prairie region, which includes Edmonton and Calgary, 47 removals took place, and in the Greater Toronto Area, 50 removals occurred.

The CBSA highlighted four recent cases of removals, all believed to be Indian nationals. These included Palwinder Singh, linked to an extortion-related shooting; Jasmer Singh, convicted of forcible confinement; Amitoz Bajwa, accused of being part of an organized crime group; and Sahibjot Singh, also tied to a criminal network. The agency emphasized its commitment to enforcing immigration laws and removing individuals who pose a threat to public safety.

Minister of Public Safety Gary Anandasangaree stressed the government's dedication to disrupting criminal activities and ensuring the safety of Canadian communities.
