Border Health Services Issues Clarification on Vaccination Requirement at Airports

Border Health Services Pakistan has issued a clarification regarding the vaccination certificate requirement for passengers traveling through airports. The requirement currently applies exclusively to those flying from Karachi to Saudi Arabia for the purpose of Umrah. Passengers heading to other countries from Karachi, or departing from various airports across Pakistan, are currently not subject to this mandate.

The directive originates from the Ministry of National Health Services and Border Health Services. NADRA's involvement is limited to recording vaccinations and issuing corresponding certificates. For passengers embarking on Umrah or Hajj journeys departing from Karachi, the process entails registration and biometric verification via the Pak ID app or an affiliated e-Sahulat franchise. Following this, they must pay the stipulated fee before receiving the necessary vaccinations at the designated counter at Karachi airport.

Upon the record of the vaccination being entered into the online system, passengers can subsequently download their vaccination certificate from nims.nadra.gov.pk. It's crucial for travelers to ensure all registration, biometric verification, and fee payments are completed prior to reaching the airport to prevent any potential delays.
