In the Klang Valley, the highest PM2.5 readings were recorded in Johan Setia, Selangor, followed by Cheras, Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam, Selangor. Throughout much of Malaysia, including the Klang Valley, unhealthy levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) were recorded by 9 a.m. The PM2.5 reading remained highest in Serian, Sarawak, at 188, approaching unhealthy levels.

The highest PM2.5 reading in Peninsular Malaysia was recorded in Johan Setia, Selangor (182), followed by Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (171), Pasir Gudang, Johor (171) and Shah Alam, Selangor (168). In the Klang Valley, the PM2.5 reading remained at unhealthy levels in Putrajaya (166), Batu Muda (162), Petaling Jaya (160), Klang (160), Banting (157) and Kuala Selangor (156).

Air quality was also unhealthy across whole Negeri Sembilan and Pahang, with the highest PM2.5 reading recorded in Nilai (168) and Balok Baru, Kuantan (162). Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Terengganu and Sarawak experienced simple and unhealthy air quality in some regions. The sky appeared clearer in Sabah, Kelantan and Perlis, with simple PM2.5 readings reported in all regions.
