Aw shucks: Dolly Parton corn mazes crop up in fields nationwide

Dolly Parton's iconic image and golden curls are adorning fields nationwide this fall in the form of large corn mazes, honoring the late country music star, actor, and philanthropist. The mazes were carved out on twenty farms, located in about a dozen U.S. states and two Canadian provinces, from Alabama to California and Ohio to Texas.

Each maze features a Parton-themed trivia game, photo opportunities, and other attractions. The mazes were designed by The Maize Inc., a Utah-based consulting company, which described Parton as an "American treasure" and noted that her impact on the world and love for farming is immeasurable. The mazes also serve to raise funds for Parton's Imagination Library, which provides free books to children.

Dolly Parton passed away on August 25 at age 80 due to cancer, inspiring an outpouring of tributes, including a drive to rename Nashville's airport in her honor and a surge in online streams of her hit songs.
