Ato Forson eyes first-week November for 2027 Budget, promises jobs and major infrastructure push

Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has announced that the 2027 Budget will be presented to Parliament in the first week of November 2026. Speaking to Ahenfia FM in Kumasi, he hinted at plans for major infrastructure projects and job creation initiatives. Dr Forson emphasized that the new Budget will introduce business incentives to support expansion into new areas, as part of the government's strategy to stimulate economic growth.

He stated that the previous two years of the administration have focused on stabilizing the economy, and now efforts will shift towards stronger growth measures. The 2027 Budget will contain details of these programmes and policies, which are linked to Ghana's new economy program. The government aims to invest around US$10 billion to boost economic activity.

The Finance Minister has initiated consultations with key ministries to identify priority sectors and investment opportunities. The November presentation aligns with Ghana's financial management framework, allowing Parliament enough time to review and approve the budget before the new financial year begins in January 2027.
