Abu Dhabi residents can now issue and attest birth, death certificates through TAMM

Residents of Abu Dhabi can now obtain and digitally attest birth and death certificates through a single process facilitated by TAMM, the Abu Dhabi government services platform. This integration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi eliminates the need for separate procedures, allowing users to complete both tasks within minutes on one platform.

Around 47,000 such certificates were issued in Abu Dhabi last year. Sheikha Hissa bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at MoFA, highlighted that integrating data and systems simplifies services and enhances the customer experience by reducing procedures and streamlining the digital journey.

MoFA reported that digital integration with government partners has reduced procedures, requirements, and service delivery times by up to 90%. Director General of Corporate Enablement and Community Services at DoH, Khalaf Helal Al Mazrouei, emphasized that combining issuance and attestation into a streamlined digital journey drives operational efficiency and accelerates Abu Dhabi's goal of an integrated, digitally empowered government.

This new service is part of broader efforts to digitize government procedures and reduce the number of steps required by residents. The Department of Health aims to continue developing additional digital services to make procedures faster and easier for users. Abu Dhabi's TAMM handles 55.5 million transactions, with 98% completed digitally.

The digitization of educational document attestation now takes just two hours, and obtaining school fees certificates can be done in six minutes for Dh15. Abu Dhabi's digital attestations have surged by 405% due to growing demand for online legal services.
